With the LPGA’s triumphant return back to Massachusetts at the inaugural FM Championship at TPC Boston, Ouimet Caddie Bibs also came back in style.
“It’s been a number of years since the LPGA has been here in Massachusetts,” said Ouimet Fund Executive Director Colin McGuire. “It’s really special for the Ouimet Fund to have the Francis & Eddie logo on all the caddie bibs in the Pro-Am of the FM Championship.”
Taking care of every group in the FM Championship Pro-Am that requested a caddie, Ouimet Scholars, Alumni, friends, and supporters shuffled down Arnold Palmer Boulevard and around TPC Boston for a fun day of caddying. The loops consisted of groups that contained business leaders, survivor contestants, former New England Patriots, and of course some of the best talents in women’s professional golf.
In total, 80 caddies made the trek to Norton from all over the Bay State and carried 153 bags with many Ouimet Caddies double bagging and looping in both the morning and afternoon.
Representing The Fund on the golf course, Board Member and LPGA player Alison Walshe used the caddies as a talking point for the week.
“Those that aren’t real local, they think the logo is great,” said Walshe. “It’s given me a reason to talk and just to see them out here and have a front row seat to the players out here is a great experience.”
Thank you to all who made this program so successful!
