Eastern Retail is seeking to hire a paid intern for the summer. They are hoping to secure a candidate that is completing their junior year of college and is interested in pursuing a career in real estate.

Job Description

• Assist the brokerage team with identifying and qualifying new business opportunities and market research
• Compile market data to support the brokerage team with ongoing assignments
• Support the preparation of presentations and proposals for existing and prospective clients
• Work with team members on market tours, LOI negotiation, lease and purchase and sale negotiations
• Identify tenant prospects for landlord representation assignments
• Assist the development team on due diligence process, CAM Reconciliations, capital improvement projects, operating budgets, and financing requests

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree
• Comfortable with phone outreach and other business development communication methods
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Self-starter mentality with the ability to work independently while contributing to team goals
• Interest in a career path to become a commercial real estate broker
• Computer proficiency in MS Office: Excel, Powerpoint, Word
• Hands-on team player who has a strong execution orientation

The summer internship program at Acushnet Company is designed to give students a holistic, real-world experience that is collaborative, engaging, and fun. Through these internships, the Acushnet Company aims to provide students an opportunity to see their major at work in the marketplace. During the internship program, the Acushnet Company teams develop significant project plans to be completed over the 10-12 week time period.

They offer a Golf Ball Specialist program and a corporate program, targeting majors across multiple disciplines, including Business, Marketing, Finance, and various Engineering majors.

Thanks to Ouimet Alumnus Dr. Timothy Lynch, Scholars can engage in a mentoring opportunity to learn about both the business side and career side of being an optometrist. Dr. Lynch is owner and optometrist at Bay Eye Center. He provides primary eye care including detection and treatment of eye diseases, as well as fittings for contact lenses and glasses. Additionally, through his volunteer work internationally, Dr. Lynch has provided eye care and glasses to thousands of underserved individuals. Patrick Hurley is a distinguished product management consultant working on data center infrastructure within a large fortune 500 technology company. Within his product management scope, he drives strategy on AIOps and Serviceability for infrastructure needs such as storage, networking, data protection and computing. His contributions have been pivotal to several successful product launches within the tech community.

Patrick professional journey is underpinned by a robust academic background a business management finance from Suffolk University. In respect to the game of golf, Patrick had grown up working at a local golf course in his hometown of Easton Massachusetts.
